ApxPerf
- ApxPerf is a framework for hardware performance and error characterization of approximate arithmetic operators.
It is HLS-based and the hardware performance characterization requires Mentor Graphics Catapult C and ModelSim, as well as Synopsys Design Compiler and PrimeTime.
The error characterization part does not require any non-free software, only Python 3 and a C++ compiler embedding c++11 standard.
ApxPerf framework comes with synthesizable C++ arithmetic operators libraries:
- apx_fixed: integer approximate operators library in fixed-point representation
- ct_float: custom floating-point library
ApxPerf also embeds signal processing applications instrumented for approximate operators:
- Fast Fourier Transform (FFT)
- K-Means Clustering |
